Every step is specific to DocuSign's interface. No guessing where settings live.
Your signed documents belong to you — not DocuSign. Before cancelling, download every document you need.
In DocuSign: go to Manage → Documents → filter by Completed → select all → Download. DocuSign exports a ZIP of signed PDFs with a summary CSV. Keep this archive permanently — these are your legal records.
Tip: If you have hundreds of documents, use DocuSign's "Download All" option from the account settings rather than downloading individually.
Note which templates you use most frequently. You'll recreate these in SignBolt — it takes 5 minutes per template.
Go to Templates in DocuSign → for each active template, open it and download the underlying PDF. Make a list of which fields (signature, date, initials) appear on each template and where. You'll replicate this in SignBolt's template builder.
Tip: Focus on your top 3–5 templates first. You can always add more later. SignBolt has 12 built-in templates that may already cover your most common documents.

Upload your PDF templates and configure signing fields. Or use one of SignBolt's 12 built-in templates and customise from there.
In SignBolt: go to Templates → either select a built-in template (NDA, Employment Contract, Contractor Agreement, FIFO Employment, Safety Induction, Site Access Permit, Equipment Hire, and more) or upload your own PDF → drag-and-drop signature fields onto the document → save. Each template takes 3–5 minutes to set up.
Tip: If you're a mining or resources company, our FIFO Employment Contract, Safety Induction, and Contractor Agreement templates are ready to use with no modification.
Any internal processes, emails, or automation that references DocuSign signing links needs to be updated to use SignBolt.
Check: email templates your admin team uses, any Zapier or Make automations sending DocuSign signing requests, CRM sequences with embedded signing links, onboarding documents. Update each one to use SignBolt's send-for-signature flow instead. Most teams have fewer than 5 places to update.

Log into DocuSign → Account Settings → Plans & Billing → Cancel Plan. Time this for just before your next billing date to avoid paying for another month.
DocuSign monthly plans can be cancelled any time — you retain access until the end of your current billing period. Annual plans may have cancellation fees if you cancel mid-term. If you're on an annual contract, you can run SignBolt in parallel during the remaining term and switch fully at renewal.
Tip: Screenshot your cancellation confirmation. DocuSign has been known to continue billing after cancellation requests — keep your cancellation reference number.
Important: If you're on a DocuSign annual contract, do not cancel immediately — check your terms for early termination fees. Run SignBolt in parallel until your annual term expires.
